What is Health & Wellness Coaching?

Health and Wellness Coaching is a partnership between the client and the health coach to identify and move towards a more fully realized vision of holistic health.  Based in the science of behavior change, mindfulness and self-assessment, a health coach can help you to optimize your efforts toward improved health and wellbeing.  While you may already have recommendations from your health care provider, a health coach can help you to identify and claim your own goals, strategize steps to achieving them, and be your accountability partner.  

My Approach

In over 15 years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I wrote hundreds of prescriptions, and made countless lifestyle recommendations. Through years of diagnosis and treatment, I came to realize that traditional health care is falling short for many people.  Most people need deeper understanding, support and empowerment to achieve optimal wellness.  I was tired of sending patients away with a prescription and a directive.  As a health and wellness coach, I help you uncover your vision of wellness, why it is meaningful to you, and what is holding you back.  Study after study shows that lifestyle change has substantial, lasting impact on our health.  And yet so many of us struggle to implement and sustain the changes we desire. This is where coaching comes in.  Through deep listening and thoughtful reflection, I help you uncover self-awareness, strategize a path forward and overcome the obstacles it takes to get there. 

The solutions are simple, but not easy.  Feeling better is within reach, let's get started together.

Individual Coaching

Successful, lasting change takes time.  To begin coaching, I ask for a commitment of 3-6 months.  After your initial coaching package, we can discuss additional packages, or month to month options to continue coaching.​

Start Your Journey- 3 Month Introductory Package ($700 investment)

Designed for those interested in exploring health and wellness coaching.  Together we will partner to create a clear health vision, identify a tailored goal, explore strategies based in your unique strengths, and chart a clear path forward.

A 3 month package includes: 

 

  • Two 60 minute introductory sessions where we will create a holistic understanding of where your health is now, what is important to you about the changes you wish to achieve, and right-size the steps it will take to get there.

  • Four 45 minute intermediate sessions where we will celebrate success, learn and adjust from progress, solidify practices and habits, and continue to chart the course to your desired outcome.

  • Access to the HIPAA compliant Practice Better App with trackers and real-time sharing of resources and your progress.

  • Encouragement and support via Practice Better Chat between sessions.
